Mozilla FireFox is a free browser developed by Mozilla Corporation and by thousands of open source enthusiasts all over the world.
Firefox protects your computer from viruses, spyware and pop-up advertising. Import favorites and settings from other browsers to get started. Tabbed browsing allows the user to open multiple Web pages in a single browser window, and quickly flip back and forth. Firefox also has a built-in Search bar with a selection of common search engines and it is simple to add or delete other search engines to the list.
The Firefox development team is serious about protecting against spyware, worms, and viruses. Updates are issued quickly when vulnerabilities are reported and the software update routine has been simplfied to help users keep their web browser up to date with the latest patches.
Firefox 1.5 improves web navigation for those who are visually or motor-impaired. It supports DHTML accessibility, which, when enabled by Web authors, allows rich Web applications to be read aloud. Users may navigate with keystrokes rather than mouse clicks, reducing the tabbing required to navigate documents such as spreadsheets. Support for open Web standards in Firefox allows users to experience a full range of new Web-based tools.
