Community Education Courses being taught in Victoria
- Computerbank Victoria (http://vic.computerbank.org.au): We have been running free and fee based group and individual end user desktop Linux courses for over 6 years. In 2005, we delivered over 400 hours of free end user Linux training to disadvantaged individuals and groups. We have developed some training material, this can be found on the Computerbank Documentation site (http://doc.vic.computerbank.org.au).
In addition to desktop Linux courses we also provide training in more advanced topics and will run a "build your own Linux computer" course in 2006. We have provided onsite training to community groups across Melbourne. Our training courses compare well with ICT courses offered in TAFE. Our trainers are very experienced Linux users that have work place training and assessment qualifications.
